Storyline
Dhadakpur is the Belgium of Bihar. Clean, green and glorious. And this year the village will celebrate its Silver Jubilee of being crime- free! And as a gift for the villagers there will be a trophy, clean water but most of all pride.
Also within 8 days, Roshni, the prettiest girl of the village will leave the Jha family and be wedded to Kuber. The plan was to marry his elder brother Durlabh, but the moment she heard that Durlabh’s younger brother works in Mumbai she didn’t even bat an eyelid to change the groom. Like her friends, Roshni too aspired for a modern city life.Her brother, Bhugol too has dreams of going to Mumbai and becoming a Bollywood superstar.
The to-be-groom’s father is a clerk in the education department and Roshni’s dad, Banwari, is a temporary primary school teacher. This marriage meant his dream of a permanent job could be fulfilled. In short, everyone’s dreams hinge on this one wedding. But before their dreams could turn into reality, it was time to fulfill the to-be groom’s dream. He wants a two-wheeler as a “wedding gift”. But not just any two-wheeler. A shiny red expensive motorbike! That too with a year’s supply of petrol. No one in Dhadakpur had paid such a handsome dowry before-but the Jha family is determined.
The bike arrives in the day and disaster strikes at night. It got stolen! How? When? Who? There were only questions and no answers. Dhadakpur is crime-free after all!
Leading the queue of suspects, was Roshni’s, ex-boyfriend, Amavas. Years ago, he was banished from Dhadakpur for his incessant stealing.
Pushpalata Yadav, is Dhadakpur’s village head. It was her idea to banish Amavas from the village, but now he was their only hope. He could procure a second hand bike.
Bhugol and Amavas are then sent to get the bike. Two childhood enemies. Chalk and cheese. Coffee and sleep. Ronaldo and The World Cup. How the two boys save the pride of the village and ensure the wedding happens as planned forms the crux of the season.
